Kick off Christmas!

Over at Splitcoaststampers the SUO Creative Crew challenges for December have been posted and I thought I'd start with those for a "Kick off Christmas" theme!

My color combo was: Perfect Plum, Brushed Gold, Elegant Eggplant, V.Vanilla

CCREW1211DF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- DSP/Color Focus: Pick any one combo and make all of the challenges with that combo. Please share your color combo! To start off use the attached fun & funky sketch!

CCREW1211CF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Catalog focus: One piece of Jewelry, Handbags, Wearable Art This could include something made from our fabric line, something with the Simply Adorned line, or something entirely unique to you! Just keep it in your color combo!

CCREW1211HF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Holiday focus: A home decor item - can be holiday or everyday, as long as you keep to your color combo

CCREW1211SF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Scrapbook focus: Not actually a scrapbook "focus" this month, more of a "free for all" item - you can do an SB page, framed art, giftable, treat packaging whatever! Rock my world with whatever "wow" you can think! But, keep to your color combo

Domestic Goddess Suite

The Creative Crew challenge this month included using the Domestic Goddess suite. I altered a cup carrier from DQ to make the gift packaging, altered a pocket folder into a coupon holder, and altered a calendar book for important dates. The package will include a plant, some dish towels, and of course the necessary candy ;)

Gated Arbor Fold

Celebrating Birds - I love this DSP from SU and want to use it as much as possible before it retires! Still haven't really thought of a name for this fold, right now I'm calling it an Gated Arbor Fold

CC Flowers

Sneaky challenge this month ;) To use any flower EXCEPT stamped flowers! I did a set of 3 x 3 cards, each featuring a textured background and a flower of some kind. I think my fave is the button flower, but the crocheted flowers are fun too ;)

Sunny Gardens

Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, & Daffodil Delight is the June Creative Crew color combo (can we say bright?) I used my Manhattan Flower B/S folder with vellum for the roses, did a watercolor wash with Peach Parfait and shimmer paint, used Bella Toile in the background, and used the sentiment from Sense of Time - whew! She be busy!

So I've Wrapped Up My Pirate Tour

How about some "just for fun" things from the May Creative Crew round? Kraft, Burgundy, & Artichoke for the Live, Love, Laugh card. And Kraft, Peach, Black for the sympathy card - I'm kinda hooked on Kraft/Crumb Cake right now!

Next tour, June Creative Crew ;)

Kinda describes my life right now! Trying to use up some of my SAB stuff, this one was easy peasy with punches, DSP, and sticky cardstock elements!

Put Me In Coach

Ahhh Spring, time for baseball, tree climbing, hiking, and all other things "boy." This was a club project for a boy's b'day card, seems like everyone has problems with pre-teen/teenage boys! So it was Woodland Walk DSP to the rescue with a freehanded baseball bat with linen thread on the handle, a punched baseball with Real Red marker stitching, and a red crimped paper strip - Hope you likey!

Watercolor Splendor

Another April CC challenge was to use watercoloring. I made a watercolor wash background and added dimension by using Crystal effects on my coneflowers. All supplies are Stampin' Up!

All Because Of Blueberry Crisp

This month the Creative Crew was challenged to use the DSP Blueberry Crisp. Now I must admit, this particular DSP is not my normal cup of tea, however I'm pretty pleased with this ensemble overall - Thanks for Looking!

My shabby heart is lovin' this Botanial Suite from SU! Be on the look out for a tutorial on my faux beads in the upcoming future ;)

IT'S TIME!!!

The Creative Crew Inspiration starts today!!! Whether you are a demo or not this is a great way for you to play along! Use your goodies, what are you waiting for!?! Take some time this month to do something just for you, when you do upload your creations over at splitcoast and let me know when you do so I can see you creativity!

January 2011 Focus Categories:

CCREW0111CF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM - Catalog Focus * Spring Showcase using any Spring Occasions/SAB product, make us NEED that stuff - My sample uses the new Button, Button Set and the new Love Patterns DSP.

CCREW0111DF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM - DSP/Color Focus * Love Letter DSP or color combo of: B. Black, V. Vanilla, Riding Hood Red - My sample uses the Top Note Die, the card actually opens with the die being the "front"

CCREW0111HF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM - Holiday/Seasonal Focus * Show me your SU! Heart - punch, sizzlets/dies, stamp sets, Mover & Shaper heart, etc. Wow us with hearts. - Ahhh Hearts, you had to guess that one! My first sample is a little different for me, cutesy is not my normal style at all! However, I had the picture in my head and decided to go with it! The second sample is actually a 6" x 6" card! It's huge, but I needed that much space to do three scalloped hearts across!

CCREW0111SF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM - SB Inspiration Focus * What I Love About You – spouses, children, pets, parents, friends, ice cream, stamps, etc – something you love and why. - Lastly, my page about why I love my hubby made in MDS, also made with the new Love Patterns DSP (via a MDS download)

Wanna Know What I've Been Doing?

Well besides the holiday madness like everyone else! For the last month or so over on Splitcoast > http://www.splitcoaststampers.com < I've been working on a new project for the largest online public gallery for Stampin'Up! products.

Basically a group of demo's will be bringing the SCS general public a monthly showcase of Stampin' Up! works of art! There is a team of 7 demo's, plus 3 coordinators involved in bringing this all new showcase to you. This new showcase is called the "Creative Crew." The 7 demo's will have four themes or focus areas each month to work with. I can't tell you everything but I can say that everyone should pop into the SCS gallery on Saturday 1/1/2011 at 1:00 (est) When you get there simple type "creativecrew" into the gallery search bar and a world of wonderful SU should appear to you!

The great thing about this is not only will EVERYONE get to see these projects, but demonstrators are encouraged to share these "themes/focus" areas with you and you to can play along!

I cannot share any complete projects with you because I do not want to steal the Crew's thunder, however I can give you a sneak peek and you can try to figure out what our four themes/focus areas are for this month. Don't worry if you can't figure it out, I'll be sharing them with you on Saturday.

But for now, here's a peek for you:
