Bitten By The Creation Bug!

Hi everyone! I'm feeling so much better! I haven't been able to stay away from my craft corner (I know, that surprises you doesn't it?) Want to see what I've been up to? Take a peek:

This one is a combo of SU! stamps, inks, C/S, and Basic Grey Patterned paper.

This one is all SU! except for that little Prima flower in the very center.

This one is completely SU! Stamps, inks, designer paper, c/s and embellishments.

Have a great day everyone and I'll be letting everyone know in about a week when we can get together again - darn doctor still won't let me drive!

Good bye Aunt Flo!

Well if you're checking up on me ~ Yes I've had my surgery and I'm actually doing quite well!

All in all I don't think the hysterectomy was quite as painful as my three C-Sections were! Of course I don't have a newborn wanting to eat or be changed every two hours, but that's kind of bittersweet too, YKWIM?

Also and this has been the harder part ~ I haven't had a cigarette in over a week now!!!!!!!!

I've never been one to smoke in my house and my kids wouldn't tolerate me smoking around them, but it was a habit that I was having a hell of a time breaking!

{Of course quitting and surgery isn't for everyone, that coughing with staples in your belly is divine punishment and I don't think I'd recommend it unless you are really determined that you're stopping!}

Anyway, I go back to the doc on Thursday to get my staples out and hopefully I'll be able to get back at my crafting, I've got a lot of ideas running through my head but not a lot of energy to get it done!

Check back soon though and hopefully I'll have some new goodies for you to see :)

New STUFF!

I got some new goodies from the Stampin' Up! Spring & Summer catalog collection! I am so going to be in T-R-O-U-B-L-E with this book!!! I've never been ashamed to say that I love all the paper crafting vendors and yes sometimes I do use "contraband" materials;) however, I've always been loyal to SU for my stamps, cardstock, inks, ribbons, etc, but Stampin' Up! did an awesome job with this catty! And they are in the process of bringing us even more exciting goodies and opportunities

Look what I've made, then I'm off to make you something else using the new Felt Flowers!!!
This is a Chipboard coaster box with Ginger blossoms designer paper.
This is a "kickstand" card with Berry Bliss paper, Boho blossoms punch and the new One of a kind set.
This one is the new From the Garden hostess set, watercolored in shades of coral and garden green.
Now off to see what else I can come up with!!!

A little challenge

Okay my blogger friends and customers - I have a little challenge for you this week!

My darling daughter says that I am being mean, so tell me what you think by making me a card to see if this can be done! I'm also offering a small prize to the person that DD picks as having the most unique colors and image for this technique!

If you have an SCS Gallery upload your card with the following "Keyword: PP1" :)

If you don't have an SCS gallery you can email your photo to me by January 31st.
Either way, post to this thread or email me when you add your creation, okay?
For my non-SU! friends (horrors!) you can use any image you like, I'll still love you in the morning!

So here's the challenge: Do the Magic Snowflake technique, BUT you cannot use any snowflakes or the color blue on your focal image!

Here's my example:

How do you like the new look?

This is the style that I was going for, I may have a little tweaking to do, but I'm very, very, very happy with it so far!

I made this card for our VSN Sweethearts Anniversary Challenge.
This is Basic Grey Infuse paper with some ribbon and PolyShrink - I LOVE shrinkydinks!!!

Getting a headstart!

I joined a group of ladies over at SCS who have a running challenge to make 10 holiday cards per month so that by Christmas of 2008 we'll be all done. Now if I can just stick with it, I won't be scrambling next year!

Here's my January card:

Merry Christmas!

My Christmas wish for you (this was shared by Joni Fields, aka jstarbright on SCS) and I can't think of any gifts that I'd rather have!
Merry Christmas!
If I were ol' Santa, you know what I'd do?
I'd dump silly gifts that are given to you,
and deliver some things just inside your front door ,
things you have lost, but treasured before.
I'd give you back all your maidenly vigor, and to go along with it, a neat tiny figure.
Then restore the old color that once graced your hair,
before rinses and bleaches took residence there.
I'd bring back the shape with which you were gifted,
so things now suspended need not be uplifted.
I'd draw in your tummy and smooth down your back,
till you'd be a dream in those tight fitting slacks.
I'd remove all your wrinkles and leave only one chin,
so you wouldn't spend hours rubbing grease on your skin
You'd never have flashes or queer dizzy spells,
And you wouldn't hear noises like ringing of bells.
No sore aching feet and no corns on your toes,
no searching for spectacles when they're right on your nose.
Not a shot would you take in your arm, hip or fanny,
from a doctor who thinks you're a nervous old granny.
You'd never have a headache, so no pills would you take.
And no heating pad needed since your muscles won't ache.
Yes, if I were Santa, you'd never look stupid,
You'd be a cute little chick with the romance of a cupid.
I'd give a lift to your heart when those wolves start to whistle
And the joys of your heart would be light as a thistle.
But alas! I'm not Santa.
I'm simply just me, the matronest of matrons you ever did see.
I wish I could tell you all the symptoms I've got
But I'm due at my doctor's for an estrogen shot!
Even though we've grown older this wish is sincere Merry Christmas to you
and a Happy New Year.
