Getting back to the challenge

Over on SCS that is! Chris informed me this week that she hadn't seen anything new so I got off my VSN creative wagon and did some challenges this week;)

This is the "try a new technique" challenge, which is a "flap fold card" the patterned paper is a scrap and I have no idea who the manufactor is!
This was the weekly sketch, which I combined with the weekly color combo - I like it, but it still seems "different."

Basket pattern

I've been ask to share my basket pattern, so I'll try to post it here. The pattern is pretty close to the actual size but I included my measurements just in case. I'll try to do some step by step photos, but I'm afraid I won't get to it until later this week. Anyway I hope this helps!

Stamp Camp Projects

On March 15th I had be final stamp camp for the SU! Sale-A-Bration promotion - here's what we made.

This card was inspired by a swap I received from LorieR on SCS during our Michigan mingle - thanks Lorie!

This card was inspired by a swap from CindyC over on SCS that I received during our Michigan Mingle - thanks Cindy!
Two views of my Easter Basket - I'll try to get the directions to this uploaded soon, it is very easy peasy to make!!!

I let my customers make this on Saturday but it was also my shoebox swap from the Michigan Mingle.
Two views of the the Microscope Magnet card we made on Saturday. The pocket is the mini envelope from the 5 in 1 envelope template, the microscope slides and foil edging are from Oriental Trading, the back has a strong Magnet on it.

New work!

Some of these I came up with all by my little own onesie and some were inspiration from some of the Splitcoast gals I met this past weekend - I'll try to make sure I give credit to the right people!

Demo'd this at Sandy's party on 3/6.

Also demo'd this one, the inspiration for this card came from SCS - but I don't remember from who (sorry and thanks to whomever it was!)

Showed this on 3/6 as another way to use this set.

This was my thank you gift to my Stamp Camp participants on 3/15 - the coaster and calendar was a gift from Denise (resqbarbie) on SCS. The paper is from Basic Grey, and the ribbon is from Stampin' Up!

Some new stuff coming

I had my last stamp camp of the Sale-A-Bration promotion and I promise that I'll have what we made up today!!!

Inquiring minds want to know

So you wanna know what Lorien, Tracy, and I are cooking up????
We are trying to get some "seed" money to reserve a larger venue for our "Mingle" next year, as well as to help keep the cost down as much as possible.
So without further ado here is the first "fund raiser" we're trying
(there may or may not be more I Dunno )
We have six Stampin' Up! sets that were donated by Charlene (LilLuvsStampin') to be used as prizes or "something"
we're going for the "something" Goofy
We've decided to do a "Silent Auction" of sorts
The following sets will go to the highest bidder:
  1. Occasionally (new unmounted)
  2. Paint Prints (new unmounted)
  3. It's a Party (new unmounted)
  4. Computer Quips (new unmounted)
  5. Frosty (Gently used)
  6. All I have seen (Gently used, looks like only the saying was ever used!)

So here's what ya need to do:

  1. Go back over to SCS
  2. If you are interested in sets # 1 or #2 contact Lorien (vz5dzh) via PM
  3. If you are interested in sets #3 or #4 contact Tracy (TracyM.) via PM
  4. If you are interested in #5 or #6 contact me (pattyb) via PM
  5. Tell us how much you are willing to give for the set
  6. SHIPPING WILL BE ADDED ON TO THE PRICE YOU GIVE, IF YOU WIN TWO OR MORE SETS SHIPPING WILL BE ADJUSTED ACCORDINGLY.
  7. You will have until 7:00 pm on Monday March 17 to bid.
  8. We will post updates to let you know if someone out bidded you and you will need to decide if you want to place a higher bid.
  9. Now go bid, have fun, and remember that all the money raised will go toward our weekend next year!!!!

You Rock

I was mega tired

And I caught a mega cold, but....

the SCS Michigan Mingle 2008 was a huge success! All of the stress and anxiety of planning it paid off in spades when I saw the hugs, laughter, and pure joy of everyone participating!!!

Here's a couple of my fave pictures from this past weekendThis is my roomies Barb (badmom66666) Joni (jstarbright) Debra (DEBRA) and myself
