"Almost Artisan" Stampin' Up! Artisan Contest entry idea number 10.

This is the last card idea - an elegant, watercolored, criss cross/pull out fold card, did in an invitation style. (all names are made up) This was also an idea for the bridal tea shower (which I still haven't heard back on)

So quite frankly my mojo is used up and although I never expected to win anything, I'm truly not sure that I ever want to put myself through this again! I attempted to meet all of SU!'s requirements which were, in my understanding, to show a variety of styles and do your most professsional work. I thought I did okay on showing a variety of styles... maybe I need to work on my professionalism? Perhaps I need cleaner stamping, straighter cuts, and better hand writing..... I don't know.... I do know that when you take the joy out of it and start doubting yourself it just isn't worth the pain!

I hope you've enjoyed my "artisan" attempts and just maybe you got an idea from me somewhere along the line that sparked your mojo because I do this to "share what I love"

This is the next in the card ideas series - I actually did share this at one point, but I pulled it down, re-vamped and tweaked the idea, then decided to send it in for this contest. I wanted the teapot to have an enamel paint look so I mixed just a pinch of white Embossing powder into the clear embossing powder to give it an aged look.

"Almost Artisan" Stampin' Up! Artisan Contest entry and "high tea" bridal shower idea number 2 that didn't make the cut.

The second entry in my "almost artisan" showcase is my MDS High-Bred Tea Thank You Favor. I used MDS to make the focal "Love" image, used two way glue and dazzling diamonds to highlight it and used MDS to generate a matching phrase to go with the whole "tea" theme.

"Almost Artisan" Day One Teapot Candy Dish

Each year Stampin' Up! has an Artisan Contest. I was also asked to give some ideas for a "high tea" bridal shower so I decided to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. I didn't really expect to win, I've never won anything yet so my first attempt at the Artisan Award Contest could hardly be expected to be a winner.

We had to make 5 cards, 3 scrapbook pages, and 2 3-D projects. I'm going to kick off my "almost artisan" showcase with my 3-D "Time For Tea" teapot candy dish. I altered a chinese take out box with the Bridesmaid papers and pretties kit. It's kinda a crappy photo, it looked better in real life, however I'm also not sure it would have mailed well :(
