Wall Art

I actually thought I'd take some time to share some happy! I made this piece of wall art as a door prize for our annual Michigan Mingle. I purchased a 12 x 12 canvas at Amazon and covered it with the Mocha Morning DSP. Then I added various elements and sayings. Not all the sayings are SU but 99% of them are. Enjoy!

Fa, La, La, La

The main image here is actually a sticker (this was a gift from my neice, I couldn't say no, she doesn't understand how one can be a stamp snob) I added some distress ink and other various paraphernalia to complete this.

Flock a Sock

I used a very retro color combo with the Stitched Stocking set and punch. Then I added flocking to the sock to give it some fuzzy texture.

Peaceful Wishes

I paired this image with all of my other SU supplies to go with my favorite Christmas song which is Thistlehair the Christmas Bear by Alabama.

Warm and Fuzzy

I used some punch art to make my mittens, added some felt for the fuzzy, and the background is fabric adhered to c/s then embossed with the vintage wallpaper folder for the warmth.

Soft and Yummy

I had fun with this one, the background is actually a piece of "velvet paper" that I've had forever! I love how it looks with that embossing folder!

More Paint Chips

This fun paint chip has a textured feel to it so it really adds dimension to the card!

Inspired By Paint Chips

For this Hope You Can Cling To challenge I dug out some paint chips, I had forgotten what a cute touch they can add to a card

Pure Vanilla For Blue

The SCS administrator, Lydia > http://understandblue.blogspot.com
was the featured stampered lately, I love her clean and simple style, and she loves all white cards - I choose to make an all Vanilla card.

This One's For My Girl

My Mingler pals will recognize the "rules" right off, but I had to literally laugh out loud when my Kaitlin came to me out of the blue one day and announced "Mom, Boys are DUMB!" Yep, sweetie they can be, however they're still an important part of our lives. While Jeff and I were camping a few weeks ago and I was waiting for him while he was in class I set out to make this for Katie. When I got home she and I finished it together and this is what she came up with.

Join Me for a Cuppa?

I don't use Alcohol ink very often as it is not a product my beloved SU doesn't offer, however we were challenged to do an alcohol in technique. I simply did an alcohol ink Polished Stone (which really is much more vivid than water based ink!) on a cup shaped card, then embossed the Damask stamp from SU onto it.

Where Ever You May Roam

Make a card with a Map! I chose SU! DSP with a digi compass image. I used chalks to give it a soft feel, so dad's father's day card is done :)

Ben's B'day

It's my Boo Man's 23rd birthday (where have 23 years gone?!) Anyway I don't know what to call the funky fold but rest assured that a tutorial is coming for it ;) I'd appreciate any suggestions for a fold name!

If You Love Something Set It Free

I've recently re-connected with my best friend from high school! Diane and I lost touch about 5 years after graduation, but recently found each other again on Facebook, after another 25 years had passed (yay for global social networking!) Anyway, we were challenged to use Wood on a card, I choose the SU wood sheet scraps I had to make a "faux paneling" look & the Tim Holtz Caged Bird die to make a birthday card for Diane. Everything else on this card is SU, it's kind of CAS in design, yet there's a lot of little details if you look for them.

Happy Easter

I love vintage images! I used this old vintage postcard image to make Easter cards in My Ditigal Studio. The background is the MDS exclusive Springtime Splendor DSP.

From my family to yours, have a joyous Easter!

A Few of my favorite things

I love templates for funky boxes! This coffee tote box from Lauren Meader at MyTimeless Templates is wonderful for a variety of things. I wrapped a disposable coffee cup and used it to hold some cocoa and biscotti ;) Then I added a variety of goodies that like.

Loves Me, Loves Me Not?

It's time to make some more cards to send overseas. Our men and women stationed over there really appreciate anything we send them! This card is pretty simple, I generated the sentiment in MDS, used my Top Note, some Concord Crush C/S & ribbon, and some paper daisys (don't know who makes these, they were a gift from my WR secret friend) Enjoy!
