"Almost Artisan" Day Two Thank You Favor

"Almost Artisan" Stampin' Up! Artisan Contest entry and "high tea" bridal shower idea number 2 that didn't make the cut.

The second entry in my "almost artisan" showcase is my MDS High-Bred Tea Thank You Favor. I used MDS to make the focal "Love" image, used two way glue and dazzling diamonds to highlight it and used MDS to generate a matching phrase to go with the whole "tea" theme.

"Almost Artisan" Day One Teapot Candy Dish

Each year Stampin' Up! has an Artisan Contest. I was also asked to give some ideas for a "high tea" bridal shower so I decided to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. I didn't really expect to win, I've never won anything yet so my first attempt at the Artisan Award Contest could hardly be expected to be a winner.

We had to make 5 cards, 3 scrapbook pages, and 2 3-D projects. I'm going to kick off my "almost artisan" showcase with my 3-D "Time For Tea" teapot candy dish. I altered a chinese take out box with the Bridesmaid papers and pretties kit. It's kinda a crappy photo, it looked better in real life, however I'm also not sure it would have mailed well :(

Almost Artisan Bloghop begins today

A few of us that entered the Stampin' Up! Artisan Award contest and didn't quite make the cut are excited to begin showing you our "losing" projects ;) I say that "tongue in cheek" because none of these ladies are losers and quite frankly I cannot imagine having to judge that contest!

So check out the following blogs over the next few weeks if you want to see some awesome Stampin' Up Only (SUO) creations!!!!

Chalkboard Decor Elements

I loved the look of the new SU! Chalkboard DE and of course *had* to have them, then I didn't know what to do with them! Here's a couple of ideas that I played around with, not sure I'm happy with either, so I'm still trying!

Another use for MDS

I'm loving Stampin' Up!'s My Ditigal Studio! I made tote bags by importing an image into MDS, playing around with the text box, mirror imaging the whole thing, and printing it on iron on tranfers! Then I printed them off and ironed them onto a tote bag - easy peasy

Something Different

Another one of my "joys" is putting together gift baskets. For the Michigan Mingle back in March my two fellow coordinators and I decided to put together a "Pampered Stampers" basket. It had a neck massager, a ped egg, some candles, lots of lotions, bubble bath, and other pampering goodies in it. This is what it looked like in progess:

I Know, I Know

I haven't been around much lately! Work has been pure crazy-ness, but I *think* it's finally getting into a steady routine!

I do have lots of goodies to show you starting with this one:

My friend Debra was the WICKED hostess on SCS last month and one of her challenges was to use the same lay out and do a Mom/lady and a Dad/guy with it, these are the two that I came up with.
