Hidden Treasures

I used the Scalloped Envelope die, shades of red, and "hid" a teabag.

I didn't realize I had a fuzzy image until I uploaded it to SCS, but I didn't have time to re-photograph the whole thing :(

If You Love Something Set It Free

I've recently re-connected with my best friend from high school! Diane and I lost touch about 5 years after graduation, but recently found each other again on Facebook, after another 25 years had passed (yay for global social networking!) Anyway, we were challenged to use Wood on a card, I choose the SU wood sheet scraps I had to make a "faux paneling" look & the Tim Holtz Caged Bird die to make a birthday card for Diane. Everything else on this card is SU, it's kind of CAS in design, yet there's a lot of little details if you look for them.

Be Bright!

For those that know me (and love me anyway) they know that bright colors are not my "forte" BUT pirates be a flashy lot so I had to use some! Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point, Daffodil delight - try it you might like it!

Inspirational Photo

We were given a photo of the setting sun in the background and a beach scene in the foreground for inspiration to make a card based on. I attempted to sponge sand dunes and sea green - it didn't turn out like I had pictured in my head, but it's okay I guess....

An Interesting Sketch

Pirates be sketchy at best ;) I loved this sketch and it really made me think outside of the box!

VSN kicked off with a challenge to use fabric on a card, it also coincided with the SUO Creative Crew challenge to make a male & a female card using the same layout. So here's a Get Well for a male or a female!

In Honor Of P4

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4 opens today! So in support of pirates everywhere, and for a love of Johnny ;) I joined up for the SCS Pirates Cove VSN! Arrr me hearties, those be some good times with some talented stampers!

The first challenge was "Blue Waters" by Beate! Kraft, Aqua, & Sea Green, I be lovin' this color combo! I dug out some oldie stamps, and I used Gossamer fabric on the two corners for the Aqua and Sea Green. More PIRATE challenges to come!

Welcome To My Crazy Life

So I've been absent a LOT - I know this - BUT I do have a bunch of goodies to share with you, it's just been a matter of finding time to sit and write up blog posts while being awake enough to make sense!

So we'll start off with these three Sympathy cards that we did last month at club. My peeps requested sympathy cards because we always need them but prefer to make happy cards, then stress when we need the unhappy cards KWIM?

So let's start here, but I have more treats coming for the 20 days!!! (Crazy Life willing!)

It's all about the cupcakes

Crazy for cupcakes that is :) A little bit of watercoloring, a little bit of DSP, some ribbon, some rhinestones, sounds like a recipe for fun!
